10 Best Food Festivals in NYC 2024

Looking to travel from Mexico to Hong Kong but don’t want to pay for a flight? Check out the best food festivals and events coming this spring/summer to NYC!

As the weather gets warmer, dozens of NYC local restaurants gather to give you a taste of what they have to offer. We’ve gathered some of our favorite picks for any foodie to enjoy this summer.

1. Queens Night Market

Nestled in the heart of Queens, the Queens Night Market offers a vast arrange of food and artisanal crafts. The market features some household names such as Sam’s Fried Ice Cream, Anda Cafe, and C Bao as well as newer vendors like Spain and Olé, Sassy’s Fishcakes, and Eemas Cuisine. All food vendors offer affordable options with items being listed at $6 and below, so be sure to pick up something at every corner. QNS also offers live performances by local musicians, those of whom are routinely updated with new cultural vibes to bring to the market. QNS opens on April 27 to the public, and April 13 & 20 for a ticketed price of $5.

2. Dragon Fest

Head on over to Dragon Fest and try out the Chinese cuisine NYC has to offer. Beginning April 6 to October 6, Dragon Fest is a series of food, art, and cultural markets located in various locations across the city. It features vendors such as Lady Wong, Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao, and Jixiang BBQ. Make sure to stop by and get a taste of the largest Chinese food festival in NYC; further info can be found on the festival’s website along with dates and locations.

3. EEEEEATSCON 2024

A food festival in the format of a music festival, what’s not to like? EEEEEATSCON is a series of festivals from The Infatuation presented by Chase Sapphire, featured in Chicago, LA, Miami, and NYC. In past years, vendors have featured Tompkins Square Bagels, Lysée, Ariari, and collaborations such as Forsyth Fire Escape x Taqueria Ramirez and Shake Shack x Wenwen. This event also features speakers, with previous names such as Saweetie and Sarah Jessica Parker. NYC dates have not been officially announced for 2024, however, tickets may range around $30 with special offers for Chase Sapphire Reserved and Preferred cardholders. 4. Smorgasburg

Smorgasburg is back and bigger than ever for its 13th year! This year, the festival takes place in three locations: World Trade Center (Fridays), Williamsburg (Saturdays), and Prospect Park (Sundays) from 11 AM – 6 PM. Smorgasburg is a go-to for anyone looking to try that new trendy food item with its expansive vendor list featuring items such as rainbow grilled cheese, french bulldog shaped taiyaki, cheese raclette, and tang hulu. Smorgasburg is running from the first weekend of April through the last weekend of October, and entrance is free so stop by if you’re craving anything from an ice cream sandwich to New Orleans-style po’ boys!

5. JAPAN Fes.

Take a trip to Japan in this series of food festivals across the city. JAPAN Fes. offers a wide range of food, from pastries to skewers to sushi tacos, there is something for everyone! Be sure to catch (at least) one of these events until their last of this year on November 9. More information regarding dates and locations can be found on the JAPAN Fes. website.

6. Brooklyn Night Market

Located in Industry City, the Brooklyn Night Market offers a wide range of food spanning every corner of the world. The market features live music and over 40 vendors serving up food from Jamaica, Thailand, El Salvador, China, and so much more! See the full list of vendors here. The market is open from 4PM-10PM as part of its monthly series every last Monday, from April to October.

7. Bronx Night Market

Take a trip up to Fordham Plaza and eat across the globe at the Bronx’s longest-running food market! with over 60 vendors and a wide array of performers, the event reflects the borough’s vibrancy and cultural richness. Vendors span from food to artisanal crafts and goods. The Bronx Night Market is a monthly series every first Saturday from April to October, 4PM to 10PM.

8. Uptown Night Market

Looking for an even wider range of vendors and people? Visit the Uptown Night Market in the heart of Harlem to join over 15,000 guests in spotlighting local restaurants and artisans. with over 80 vendors, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Learn more on the site. UNM comes to you every second Thursday of the month from April to October, 4PM to 10PM.

9. Latin Night Market

Quisqueya Plaza boasts the first and largest food market dedicated to spotlighting and celebrating the plethora of food that encompasses Latin America. Immerse yourself in Latin music and culture this summer at 238-224 Dyckman Street near Fort Tyron Park in Uptown Manhattan. This year’s vendor line-up is yet to be announced, so stay up to date here. Join the Latin Night Market for one day only on May 17 from 4PM to 10PM.

10. Vegan Night Market

Looking for more vegan options? Head on over to Columbus Circle to Vegan Night Market for all delicious vegan options. Every first Tuesday from May to October at an earlier time, 12PM to 8PM, the market cultivates a community for those vegan or vegan-curious. The line-up is tentative and can be found here. Head on over to southern Central Park to explore new plant-based and sustainable options!
